Wobbly passenger side sport mirror
#1
Is there a way to tighten up the mirror support bracket? If so, how? If no, what is the fix, duct tape?

Let me take a look at the door I have apart tomorrow to see if it can't be done just removing the door panel to get to the studs.

Mark, I meant the mirror part of the mirror. The reflective glass part is wobbly inside the mirror assembly.

However, on one of my cars the mirror assembly is also loose so information on tightening that would be beneficial as well.

I think Wolverine had a post on a repair for that.

Have you tried pushing it all the way to one side and tightening the screw?

That worked on mine. It was easier for me to remove the housing first from the car so i could see that screw though.

Don, first do as Roy said - no need to remove it from the car
If it is still loose - look with a flash light and see if the play is..
1- bracket moving -screw loose or stripped
2- swivel moving - swivel is worn out - buy a good used mirror and swivel from me Big Grin

No I already dropped it and the base cracked - that is why I have one.
Still can't figure out why the base cracked and mirror didn't
