Wiring a 1to single wire alternator
#1
Hello, everyone! This is my first time on this forum. I have a 7q Coupe. I am looking at putting in a q3p-150 amp single wire alternator. I am sure there is probably a thread or set of instructions some where, since I was advised that I should come here for help. Could anyone direct me to how to install one safely and correctly? Thank you for any help!

Not sure what alternator you're referring to. If you mean a Ford 3G you can find a wiring diagram here.

If that's not it you can search the forum for other installations by going to the Search function in the "More" tab at the upper right of this page.

Please go to the Introduction section of the forum (under the "Forums" tab) and introduce yourself and your car. Be forewarned, we like pictures.

What's a "Q3P" alternator? I can't find anything on it. Do you have a link to where you purchased it?
