I paid $250 for a rebuildable set. After valves, springs, keepers, retainers, studs, guide plates, machine work. You will be in them at least $1k by the time it's all said and done.

M-code closed-chamber heads and Boss 351 heads share the same D1AE-GA casting, but this part number is simply an application number and engineering version.

Boss 351: D1ZZ-6049-B
M-code: D1AZ-6049-B

The Boss 351 heads are designed for screw-in studs and guides; the M-code closed-chamber heads are designed for the usual non-adjustable valvetrain.

According to the description, those should be genuine - unless someone took a pair of M-code heads and machined them to accept screw-in studs.

Given the potential for profit vs. paying a shop $250 or so to mill a bit of steel off, I wouldn't be surprised if a few of these "Boss 351" heads began as M-code heads.
