Weekly Photo Challenge: 11-17 May 2015
Here are the rules of engagement for the Weekly Photo Challenge:
  • The staff will post-up a picture challenge issued for the current week, beginning on Monday running through Thursday.
  • Members can post their challenge pictures directly in this thread - let's try to limit comments on the pics during the challenge period
  • Voting will commence on Friday, running over the weekend to Sunday evening - Vote for your favorite and let the comments fly.
  • Following the challenge, a winner will be declared no later than the following Monday morning, along with a thread issuing a new challenge for the new week
  • Once a new challenge thread is opened up, the old thread will continue to be available for comments.

This is all just for fun and braggin' rights. Plus, we'll get to see lots of cool pics of our cars.

OK - so here's the Challenge for this week... with a twist: post up some "Before and After" pics of your Mustang.

Props to Don65stang for this week's theme. thumb

Maybe you have some "Before and After Restoration" pics, or maybe some "Dirty then Clean," "Before and After being at the track," "Before and After the damage" (Heaven Forbid), or even "Before and After you learned how to use your camera." Wink Big Grin Sky's the limit.

Please limit your entry to 2 pictures only, posting the "Before" pic first, then the "After" pic. A brief explanation of what we're looking at would be appreciated if it's not completely obvious.

I'll start us off.

What you're seeing: The "Before" picture is shortly after I purchased the car (Nov 2010) and realized the front clip was a total loss. I was being pushed by my buddies (making "motor noises and all") around the parking lot of the shop just prior to cutting off the front clip - the Rag-joint actually gave up shortly after this pic was taken.

The "After" pic was from a car show in October 2014, when we won "Best In Class - '71-'79 Modified." My wife and I were literally putting the "Mach 1" decals on at 11:30PM the night before the show.

Mine isn't completed yet but getting close. Here is this last months before and after.
The only thing you see in the before shot that was with the car when I bought it was the frame and the steering/suspension (now rebuilt). Oh, I guess the parking brake cables were there too. Dodgy

Wow! What a difference!

Ok, here's my entry. It doesn't look all that bad on the before pic but it was a basket case. I basically bought a huge load of bondo and rust with a Mustang base under it.
