Weekly Fun Question for May 11, 2013
Good Day All!

Please note that VIP Members are not eligible to participate in this exercise as a different problem is being presented on the VIP WFQ Forum for your entertainment and "bragging rights."

Specifics on the Weekly Fun Question (WFQ), to include information on awards and prizes for Winners, can be found on the thread below.

http://www.7173mustangs.com/thread-what-...tion--5488

Please note that when you submit your response, it will not usually be viewable until I release all the responses at the end of the exercise.

The Problem:

Please identify the situation whereby two (2) separate 1973 351 2V Hardtops would have had different length 28-spline axles, from the "Factory."

The FIRST Member to respond with the desired response will be declared the "Winner."

This exercise will end at approximately 7:00 PM (CST) on Monday, May 13, 2013.

Good Luck!

BT
For All 1973 Mustangs built through 12-15-1972 with 28 spline axles, the length of the right axle was 31 7/8" while those built after 12-15-1972 had a right axle length of 31 25/32".

The left axles were the same length at 27 13/16".
None

Do the RIGHT thing.

I am surprised no one chose to respond or was able to find the attached recent thread which provided a clue to the desired response.

http://www.7173mustangs.com/thread-rear-axle-question

Based on the information in that thread, the following applies:

For All 1973 Mustangs built through 12-15-1972 with 28 spline axles, the length of the right axle was 31 7/8" while those built after 12-15-1972 had a right axle length of 31 25/32".

The left axles were the same length at 27 13/16".
