Weekly Fun Question for August 4, 2012
Good Day All!

Please note that VIP Members are not eligible to participate in this exercise as a different question is being presented on the VIP WFQ Forum for your entertainment and "bragging rights."

Specifics on the Weekly Fun Question (WFQ) can be found on the thread below.

The problem:

Please identify the two types of Mustangs built in 1971 for U.S. use that had the honeycomb grille and color-keyed urethane bumpers.

The First General Member to post up with the desired response will be declared the winner. Also, keep in mind that upon "winning" on three (3) separate occasions, the Member will have his/her $25.00 Membership paid for VIP status.

This exercise is scheduled to end at approximately 7:00PM (CST) on Monday, August 6, 2012.

Good Luck!

BT
There were 45,501 Mustangs built in 1971 with the honeycomb grille and color-keyed urethane bumpers. 36,498 were Mach 1s and 9,003 were Special Value Package Hardtops (AKA Spring Value Package).

Good Day!

To recap the question:

Please identify the two types of Mustangs built in 1971 for U.S. use that had the honeycomb grille and color-keyed urethane bumpers.

There were 45,501 Mustangs built in 1971 with the honeycomb grille and color-keyed urethane bumpers. 36,498 were Mach 1s and 9,003 were Special Value Package Hardtops (AKA Spring Value Package).

We do have a "Winner" as "MWEEPS" was the First to post up with the desired response. It is noted that this relatively new Member has "hit the ground running." MWEEPS identified an error in our "Data" information very soon after having joined the Site. This from a Member who does not own a 1971 - 1973 Mustang but is actively searching for a Fastback! GREAT Job!

Thanks! True that a 71-73 is not currently in the garage, it is currently occupied by an 07 GT that I ordered new. My first car however was an H Code Bright Red 73 Mach that I restored then destroyed in my youth. That car still occupies a space in my parents garage alongside a few other stangs, 65 K code Fastback, 71 Boss 351 in need of full resto, 73 Bright Blue Q Code Mach 1 and a 01 Dark highland Green Bullitt. Looking forward to my Ribbon!
