d. 3.25 Traction Lok, is my guess I need to buy some books to compete!

That's got to be a pretty rare combo! Not sure if the A/C or the 4 speed standard transmission is more important but I'm certainly glad this is multiple choice...
I think it is d) the 3.25 trac-loc.

To repeat the question:

What was the mandatory rear axle ratio for a 1972 Q-Coded Convertible Mustang with air conditioning and a 4-speed transmission?

a. 3.00 standard ratio

b. 3.25 standard ratio

c. 3.00 Traction Lok

d. 3.25 Traction Lok

The desired response is "D" as all 1972 351 4V Mustangs with air conditioning and 4-Speed transmissions had to have the 3.25 traction lok rear end.

For someone who has not yet "found" a 1971 - 1973 Mustang, "mweeps" is obviously picking up or has attained quite a bit of knowledge on them as this is his SECOND time for being the FIRST to respond to the question. CONGRATULATIONS!

As an aside, there were 201 Convertibles built with the 4-speed option ("Mustangs...by the Numbers (1967-1973)", Page 105). There were also 2,142 Convertibles built with AC ("Mustangs...by the Numbers (1967-1973)", Page 121).

I might not have one with my Name on the title or in my garage, but my first car was an H Code 73 Mach 1. I came home from the hospital as a newborn in October 1973 in an H Code 73 Sportsroof with competition suspension. Dad Currently has a 73 Q Code Mach and two Boss 1's (second as of today!). I have read every Mustang Monthly since I was 10 years old, and Mustang and Fords. Dad even ordered back issues of every Super Ford and Mustang Monthly that had a 71-73 previous to 83. So I am as well read as I can be without the Mustang Recognition Guide and Marti By the Numbers books. LOL. I am trying to earn some respect of my fellow 71-73 Mustang Lovers!
