Weekly Fun Question for 7-07-2011
Good Day:

The Weekly Fun Question (WFQ) is an exercise to give "General" Members the opportunity to test their knowledge on information relative to the '71 - '73 Mustangs.

It is also designed to allow the same members the chance to "win" a nice #1 Icon added to their profile when they are the first to provide the desired response. If a general member "wins" on three (3) separate occasions, the member will have his/her membership (a $25.00 value) paid for a VIP subscription. In celebration of the July 4th holiday, the "General" member who is the first to answer this week's question will be awarded VIP Membership.

Please note when you respond to this post, your "answer" will not appear until the end of the current contest (usually at approximately 7:00 P.M. {CST}) the following Monday when the thread is transferred to the "Archives" Forum. This week's contest will end at approximately 7:00 P.M. on Monday, July 11, 2011.

While VIP members can also "play", their reward is "bragging rights" amongst their peers on the VIP Forum. General members are NOT competing against VIP members in this exercise. VIP members have their very own periodic "contest" which has an even more substantive awardSmile.

The Question for this week is:

During the 1971 - 1973 model years for the Mustang, in what year did the external color code for the "Wimbledon White" Mustangs differ from the external color code for the other two years of production?

Good Luck!

In 1971, the external color codes for Wimbleton White is "5" or "5M." The Wimbleton White color codes for 1972 and 1973 is "A" or "9A."

Do the RIGHT thing.

The 71 was different code 5 or 5m, 72/73 was A or 9a
In 72 and 73 the Wimbledon White code was 9A, in 71 it was code "M".
1971 had Wimbledon white code m.
72&73 had white code 9a.

Hey Cobra!!.. this is what I have...
1971 Wimbledon White - M
1972 Wimbledon White - 9A
1973 Wimbledon White - 9A

So, the correct answer is 1971 when the code was M Smile

In 1971 the paint code for Wimbeldon White was M.

In 1972 and 1973 the paint code was 9A.
Good Day All,

We DO have a winner this week from the "General Membership!" In fact, we had a couple of general members to submit acceptable responses to the question, BUT the first to provide an acceptable response was OLE PONY..

In 1971, the external color codes for Wimbleton White is "5" or "5M." The Wimbleton White color codes for 1972 and 1973 is "A" or "9A."

It is noted that tnfastbk is back "on the boards" as the first "VIP Forum Member" to reply with the acceptable response. As a result, Roy (tnfastbk) receives "bragging rights" from that Forum.

As a reward for this week's special, Mike (OLE PONY) is having his subscription paid for membership on the VIP Forum.

My congratulations to Mike and Roy!
