Weekly Fun Question for 1-29-2011
Good Day All:

The weekly Fun Question (WFQ) is designed to give "General" members the opportunity to test their knowledge on information (sometimes obscureSmile) relative to the '71 - '73 Mustangs. It also allows the same members the chance to "win" a nice #1 Icon when they are the first to provide the desired response. If a general member "wins" on three separate occasions, the member will have his/her membership (a $25.00 value) paid for a VIP subscription. Please note that when you respond to this post, your "answer" will not appear until the end of the current contest (usually at approximately 7:00 P.M. {CST}) the following Monday.

While VIP members can also "play" (for bragging rights), they must PM their responses to "rocketfoot" and "cobra3073." VIP members actually have their very own "contest" which has even more substantive awardsSmile.

The question for this week is:

Can you identify what version(s) of the 1971 Mustang (if any) had the "Instrumentation Group" as standard equipment?

Please read the question carefully.!

Again, the first "General" member to respond with the desired answer will be declared the winner at approximately 7:00 P.M. (CST) on Monday, January 31, 2011.

Good Luck!

BT
The optional instrumentation group was standard on the Boss 351 and not available with the 250 ci six-cylinder. The instrumentation group consisted of three instruments, oil pressure, alternator and temperature, housed in a panel located above the radio. It also had an 8000 rpm tachometer in a large pod on the left side of the dash.

I am thinking that was an option and not standard equipment on any of the Mustangs.

Well, for the second week in a row, I have not received the desired response to the WFQ by the 7:00 P.M. (CST) cut-off time from the GENERAL membership.

As with last week, I am going to let this "contest" run for one more day.

I will close out the WFQ at approximately 7:00 P.M. tomorrow (Tuesday, February 1, 2011).

Good Luck!
