1. C. There was no black and white option.

2. False. 1973 the fastback was built there in limited numbers.

3. The large MACh 1 decal was placed on the rear quarter panel where the U.S. flag decal would go if a U.S. Sprint.

These are cool. I've seriously considered doing my 73 as a Mexican Sprint clone. It would be different from all the hockey stick black hooded cars out there. Don't get me wrong, I like that look but that IS the look for most of our cars. This question has renued my interest.

The problems:

1. In the Mexican market the 1973 1/2 Mustang was sold as a Sprint model in 4 of the following color combinations. Which color combination was not a Sprint option on the 1973 1/2 model in Mexico?

a) Brown and white

b) Green and white

c) Black and white <None in this combo was a Mexican Sprint.

d) Baby blue and white

e) Red and white

2. True or False:

There were no 1971-1973 Fastbacks produced in Mexico.
False. Mexican production was a reality.

3. Where was the large Mach 1 sticker placed on the 1973 1/2 Mexican Mach 1/Sprint Model? On each rear quarter panel.

I believe it was C black and white

Trick question there weren't any factory produced fastbacks in Mexico but they did convert coupes into fastbacks

A very large Mach 1 decal is positioned on the rear quarter in lieu of the flag that appears on the U.S. version

My answer:

1Smile C - Black and white

2Smile False, because in 73 they build the fastback, but before 1973 coupe was the only body allowed.

3Smile The Mach1 sticker was placed on the rear fender, above the rear side marker light.

SUPERSTARS!

First of all, I am continually AMAZED as to how many of y'all tend to provide the desired responses to problems I consider as being rather difficult.

To recap the problems:

1. In the Mexican market the 1973 1/2 Mustang was sold as a Sprint model in 4 of the following color combinations. Which color combination was not a Sprint option on the 1973 1/2 model.

a) Brown and white

b) Green and white

c) Black and white

d) Baby blue and white

e) Red and white

C. Black and white is the unavailable color combination

2. True or False, there were no 1971-1973 Fastbacks produced in Mexico.

False While only coupes were produced during 1971 and 1972 in 1973 the Fastbacks models were available

3. Where was the large Mach 1 sticker placed on the 1973 1/2 Mexican Mach 1/Sprint Model?

Desired response: Rear Quarter Panel.

Again, while several of you responded with the desired response, caspianwendell was the First to respond and has earned "bragging rights" and the option to develop the next VIP WFQ.

Congratulations, Caspianwendell!
