Upgraded oil pan

Has anyone put a 7 or 8 quart oil pan on the 351c in a 1971 mustang? Was curious about ground clearance. Pulling the motor this weekend for a rebuild and would like to upgrade the pan.

I worked at Canton in the late 90's and currently am at Moroso managing the sheetmetal department. Kevco, Canton and Moroso all make top quality pans. Obviously I'm partial to where I work, but it's your decision. All of the pan manufacturers use the same Taiwan sourced 351C core, cut away what they don't need and any other sheetmetal is punched out on a turret press, formed and welded. Both ours and Canton's sump parts are produced in house. I'm sure Kevco uses a similar process, but there are companies such as Hamburger that have their pans produced entirely overseas yet are priced only a few dollars less.

My recommendation is the Moroso 20558. 8" depth is 1/4" shallower than stock. T style pan for extra capacity and has a crank scraper welded into the side to control windage. Canton's 15-710 is nearly identical.
