Trunk corner crooked
#1
Hello party people!

I bought these trunk corners from CJ recently:

It looks like the side that connects to the top of the quarter is crooked. Should it not be straight? Can anybody confirm mine is OK or if I should make it straight?

Thanks,
Vincent.

Does it say on the back side in small print: "I am not a crook!"?

Let me check your shorts!

So annoying when you receive parts that are not pristine as they should. Reminds me my trunk floor that came new last year 1/2 covered in starting rust...
Fixing, is really easy and you'd "uncrook" it in no time (the line that matters is the one below), but they should not send parts like this.
Another case of "I'm paid to pack parts and do not look, know or care if they're ok even if obviously wrong, I just pack for a living..."

Here, let me fix that for you...

"I'm paid minimum wage with no training and all management cares about is that I get it in the box and out the door"

Accountability for stuff like this starts at the top and must be forced down through an organization. FWIW, if you want the best service, stick with Ohio Mustang or NPD.

If one is interested in used items, both  Ohio Mustang and Motorcity Mustang are two I feel confident about using.

The reason it has all the wrinkles is it was formed by doing a Crash Form. They had no draw pad to restrict the flow of the metal. It is like you take a piece of tin foil and try and form it wrinkles everywhere. The real tool had a pad or cushion to restrict the flow of the metal and keep it cleaner.
Have you ever looked closely at an original Camaro? The factory metal is as bad as the Taiwan repo is. I love to point that out to my friend that does restorations. He is more of a GM guy.
