thermostat and brass restrictor
#1
351 Cleveland, several posts talk about a brass restrictor in connection with the thermostat. Is it necessary, and what is its function, and where do you get one?, if necessary.

This is a by pass Plate. The plate is necessary! When you dont use The ofrice to much cooland will bypass the radiator, with the result of overheating. the plate is a hard to find Part. I see a few Month ago a reproduction on ebay. The second thing is the right cleveland specific thermostate , dont use a 351w or chevy t-stat!
