Sun Visors
#1
Maybe I'm slow but I can't figure out how to disassemble the sun visors (remove the visor part from the pivoting hardware, etc). I have replacement visors but I can't get the old ones apart! Anyone know what to do?

I’ve got mine apart and the long rod is hard to go in. I’ve used petroleum jelly or Vaseline to help it slide in but it’s not going in more than half way.

Does anyone have an easier way to push it in??

they are very hard to do. i used a long phillips  screw driver  and inserted it a little at a time and turned it pushed and turned it seem to help relax what is in side and i got them in that way

Thanks for your help and yes I tried the Philips head screwdriver just after posting my initial comment and I came up with the same conclusion. There’s like a compressed cardboard that’s blocking the insert tube. I cut open my old ones which were original but the cardboard is stapled down low and the metal tube section is clear.

So all good now.

Thanks again for your input.
