Sugar Bowl - Oklahoma Sooners Win!
#1
What a crazy season! A lot of our players faced injury problems and we still managed to beat the very impressive and powerful Alabama team. Undoubtedly, they are and have been one of the top teams in the country for at least the last three years.

Its been a while - Very nice to see my Oklahoma Sooners win an important Bowl game.

Good luck to the Oklahoma State Cowboys vs. Missouri
Tigers tomorrow in the Cotton Bowl!

I haven't really followed the Sooners since the early 70's when I lived in OKC. I remember Jack Mildren at QB and Greg Pruitt at halfback, what an unstoppable team. Congrats to OU today!

Definitely a shot in the arm for the Big 12, they needed that! As a big Texas fan, I can't believe I'm saying that! Big Grin

As a lifelong Alabama fan and alumni, I have to take off my hat and pay respect to the performance that the Oklahoma Sooners put on for us last night. They flat outplayed Alabama.

Thanks to the Alabama team for a great season and to the Oklahoma team for reminding them that there is always more work to do.

I know I should have been cheering for SEC but it was good to see Oklahoma win. Great QB and he is just a freshman so get ready for another great season next year!!!

Jeff,
Thanks. But Alabama is still a very strong program.
And their recruiting class is solid! 11-2 season is extremely respectable.

Trust me - Oklahoma has had their hat handed to them too many times that I want to remember. Our program needed this win - badly! Our new quarterback, Trevor Knight went to high school just around the corner from me - same school system from which I graduated so many years ago. Cool

You still have a lot to be proud of as a 'Bama fan!

I'm very proud of my team. I also enjoyed the hell out of the game, in spite of the outcome. There was some damn fine football being played.

Definitely 2 of the the top 5 teams in the nation. As a buckeye fan, I must admit that we are over rated, especially after watching that game.
