Strut Tower Question
#1
I have a 1972 mustang and have noticed the strut tower bushing is severely rotted. Where can I find a replacement?

Any decent Auto parts store may have shock bushings in one of those blister packs.

If the shock bushings are worn out, the shocks may not be too far behind.

I would replace the shocks, I have never seen a shock outlast the bushing.

+10 to that. Wait until you see the ride and handeling improvement.

I can't wait till I get to this fun stuff.
Speaking of replacing shocks, would I be OK to replace those busted air shocks in the rear for a gas assembly.

Go with a new set of KYB gas shocks. The rears are kind of a pain to replace since you have to pull out the back seat to get to the top bolts but it will be worth it. You may also want to replace the anti-roll (or sway) bar bushings with either rubber or poly ones.

I Just did this exact same thing to my 73.. replacing the shocks went fairly easy.. getting the sway bar bushing off/on was kinda a pain..
