Steering wheel change

I used the Volante STH1002 adapter. It worked well except that I had to do some filing to avoid a short circuit with the horn contacts.

I added a Mustang pony emblem sticker in the middle.

Thanks Tony. If that's the view sitting normally when driving it looks like some of the speedo is obscured so I guess then a 13.5" one might be worse?

I've measured how my hands, shoulders should be to be comfortable, how thick the rim should be and of course to have a good view on the gauges.
That you make your own or buy an after market one, the provided adapters are not always good for our cars.
This company provides good ones. The one I've used isn't listed anymore, but this one looks like the one I'll be using when I'll make a new one for my 71 (kus I haven't grown up since the first one)

The horn button often provided with aftermarket steering wheel are often looking pretty cheap (and often are)
There too this company has very nice pieces.

Thanks Fabrice and for the links. Wish I was skilled enough to make my own custom wheel! I'll have a google :-)

For smaller wheels there is a shorter turn signal stalk available. I think Don at OMS has one. Tell him I said to paint it UT Orange

"I love my Hookers!" and "Get some Strange" probably have a different connotation to non automotive enthusiasts!

Yeah. That's as close as I could get to mimic my point of view. As a reference, I am 5'7" and my seats are the originals but with TMI foam. Therefore, I may be sitting a little bit higher. In my case, when I drive down the highway my right hand naturally sits right there so it makes it a bit hard to see the speed, but eventually you get use to it by partially seeing the needle. At the end it is not a big deal until you get a ticket!

Tried a couple aftermarket wheels, never was happy with the quality. I ended up back with a rim blow and left it at that. If the thin rim bothers you, maybe a padded wrap, with a leather cover would be the ticket.
