Shock tower mod-
I was reading an article about shock tower mods on a '69/'70 Mach-1 so a 385 series would fit (better). As for our cars ('71-'73's), it sounds like headers, tall valve covers and spark plug changes can still pose an issue, even though they are wider in the engine bay. How difficult, or has anyone attempted, a mod like this? Thanks..
Mike

Pretty easy to replace. Just did mine a few weeks ago. The bearing is just held in by a snap ring.

I thing these were the steps I used:

1. Remove steering wheel
2. Unscrew turn signal switch
3. remove snap ring (snap ring pliers help)
4. Remove bearing (has rubber insulator around it)
5. Reinstall in reverse order
