SPRING TIME, time to start wrenchin again

its going to body shop in couple months i have to get it running before it goes ,, i am lookin to buy a new wire harness any suggestions ,, painless or americanwire?

I have heard nothing but good things from Midlife's harnesses. He can restore your harness unless you don't have one at all, then I am not sure. He is also a vendor/sponsor of the site.

THANKS FOR THAT I HAVE A STOCK HARNESS HOWEVER I AM PLANNING ON ADDING ALL AUTOMETER GAUGES, SPEEDOMETER, TACH, OIL , FUEL, ETC PERHAPS SOME LED, HALOGEN LIGHTS PLUS ELECTRIC FAN WATER PUMP FUEL SO FROM WHAT I READ AMERICAN AUTOWIRE MAKES A UNIVERSAL KIT I THINK IM GONNA TRY IT OUT,,,, PLEASE GOD LET THEM START MAKIN MORE FOR 71-71 STANGS!!!! AND YES GOT 2 CHOPPERS IN GARAGE,,, GOTTA HAVE MY TOYS

I've actually been looking for a harness too. As for quality, I've heard they are both good. But of course nobody makes a harness for the '71-73 mustang. But Painless does make a "universal" harness for Ford full size cars. Either way you go, you may have to change some of the connectors. But looking at my '68 and my '73, I don't see a lot if differences in the engine compartment.
