Scored some seats
#1
Just scored some bucket seats from Ebay for my 73. My others were completely rusted out on the bottom frame. Bad thing is these do not have the backets/sliders. Guess now I am on the lookout for them.

If you want to spend the money you can get new sliding brackets.

Thanks. That may be an option if I cannot find anything else. Hard to spend that much when it is double what I paid for two complete seats and shipping but you do what you have to do.

I would contact Don at OMS or Motorcity Mustang, both are site sponsors and both have parts cars.

Take them to a shop and have them reenforce the back where the seat back area rests. Do this on the inside so it doesn't mess with the covering. It doesn't have to be fancy, mine is just a piece of steal rod, but it will keep it from failing at this point.

Thanks for the advice. Definitely do not want these to fail. My others had been in water and had completely rusted away. The back would just flip all the way back. Guy I bought the car from had cinder blocks holding the seats up.
