Round Seat Belt Warning Light Bezel
#1

Hi everyone!
On 1971 Convertibles, is the bezel on the round seat belt light supposed to be chrome or a silver color paint?

Not A T5, another one of those "Unicorn" parts for a 71. The bezel was originally chrome. 46 years later, peeling chrome and no replacements to be found anywhere has caused a lot of them to be painted argent. Maybe one day they will be reproduced, but not holding my breath. It's basically a one year part. The lamp was not a stand alone option, but was included in the 71 Deluxe Seat Belt option and 72's built up until 12-1-71.

You could look into having the piece Hydro-dipped.

73 Grandé H Code. Headman long tube headers, T-5 Transmission, 3.70 Traclok, Lowered 1" all around, Aussie 2v heads w/ 2.19 intake, 1.71 exhaust, screw in studs, full roller cam 608/612 lift 280/281 duration LSA 112, Quick Fuel 750 CFM double pumper, AirGap intake.

"I love my Hookers!" and "Get some Strange" probably have a different connotation to non automotive enthusiasts!

Thanks for your input, I was lucky enough to find one online! My old one was totally destroyed.

I think this looks a tad to tacky, thanks though! I found an original light online to replace my broken one!

Here is a decent explanation.
