Rev limiter
#1

Can anyone tell me if a 71 302 2v came with a rev limiter? And, if so, what exactly does it do?

Thanks,

Jason

Dont think they came with one but could be wrong, but it does exactly as the name refers, it limits the maximum rpms your engine will produce to keep from hurting the engine.

I could be wrong but I think the only cars to get rev limiters were the Boss 351's.

in 71 it was on Boss 351 mustang and 429CJ If i remember correctly The purpose of a rev limiter is to stop you from bouncing your valves off your piston tops if you missed a shift

They came on the Boss 351 and the 429 in '71, and if you have one laying around you don't want or need, let me know. I need one.
