Resistor wire to factory Tach
#1
Could anyone help me this this issue. What is the corrrect resistance of the resistor wire that feeds the factory tach in a 71 mustang? Mine measures 2.8 ohms. Huh

My 72 schematic shows 1.3-1.4 ohms. Chuck

Are you just measuring the resistance of the pink resistor wire, or the entire circuit? It should be around 1.4 ohms.

That wire doesn't actually feed the tach. The ignition circuit runs from the ignition switch to, and through, the tach, and then to the coil.
