Rear offset or custom engine mounts?

I am looking to see if anyone makes motor mounts that would easily allow me to lower and or shift my engine slightly to the rear. My replacement engine has a dry sump oil system and with the space in there, any Cleveland could always go back a couple inches easily. For my purposes, the further back and lower I can get it, the better. In the name of balance and handling.

There are several makers- I linked to one, but IIRC though it is for up to 1970, it will fit our cars-(please independently verify!)

You probably know everything I am about to add, but perhaps someone reading will benefit.

You'll need to relocate the transmission mount and modify shifter position or linkage and shorten the driveshaft to move it more than 1/2 inch or so.

Also there is a need to maintain a proper driveline angle to keep everything running properly http://www.hotrodhotline.com/md/html/dri...monics.php

If you have an exhaust system it will need to be shortened.
If you have a mechanical fan, you will need to extend the shroud to keep the fan in the proper location or convert to electric.

You will also be moving your driver's side exhaust right under the master cylinder and over the steering box-consider some heat shielding.


I've been toying with the idea, but I have a mechanical clutch linkage I would like to keep, so for now, It remains a back burner project idea.
