reading Marti reports
#1
while I don't think this post will change much - I see a need to try and explain the Marti reports and how they display information.

Quite a few Marti reports show a drill-down of characteristics and options that can lead to show just how unique a car is.

But - and here is the rub - a Deluxe Marti starts with mentioning a relatively rare configuration. That first one is right in its own description. In other words that one is quotable all by itself. But all the following breakdowns are tied to that first declaration. If you notice all following declarations begin with "of those" which again ties it to any previous declarations. Many are mistakenly quoting a statement following the first and proceeded by "of those" as a fact of how many were built in total for a particular body type/engine/transmission configuration.

The regular Marti breakdowns are OK in each category in their own right under "STATISTICS". Here is a sample:

This is an ultra rare car. Not necessarily ultra desirable but its exclusivity surely effects value Only one engine/transmission installed for this entire body type for that year! Notice each of this basic Marti report breakouts are for that year's Sportsroof body type. So again all of those are quotable for all the 1972 Mustang Sportsroofs built.
BTW this car was built for export to South America and I believe the car is still in Uruguay. Some of you might remember this car being owned by one of our old members: URUGUAYAN_FASTBACK

He sold the car to concentrate on his other favorite car marque - Alfa Romeos. I believe now he collects and restores them. He was a very involved member on here and is surely missed.

Anyway I hope this helps as we all continue to learn more about our cars.

Just trying to keep it all as 'real' as possible.
