Racing Forum Added!
#1
By request, I added a new forum under Odds and Ends called "Racing!" You can discuss drag racing adventures, car set up and 1/4 mile times. Please avoid street racing stories. We all know modern street racing is illegal and dangerous. We don't need that in the forums. The only exception would be the stories I hear at every car show about street racing in the 50's and 60's. I think the statutory limit has expired on those stories so feel free to tell an old tale or two!! Big Grin Times were just different back then, it was part of the car guy culture!

Have fun and stay safe!

Oh, it is "ON", now Big GrinBig Grin!!

Seriously, I believe that is a very nice addition to the site, especially considering the number of performance modified hobbyists we have on here. I, also "second" the stated guidelines relative to posting of illegal activities associated with the hobby. That could leave a "bad" taste in the mouth of potential members.

To be quite honest, I am very impressed with the civility, lack of flaming, willingness to share and overall "goodness" that I have seen displayed on this site. I am PROUD to be a part of it and have no problems with sharing the posts with my kids and/or the First Lady. We need to try and keep it that way.

As usual Barry, you did "GOOD."

I, too, agree with both of you, Barry and BT. This is a great site - you both (as well as the many other posters here) model good behavior and appropriate forum etiquette. That is 90% of why I come here so often - I don't have time for any flaming, bad attitudes, or disrespect. As the forum "leaders" if you will, you do a great job of showing what is expected of the rest of us, and our visitors. You convey the message that "That's the way we do things around here." And so, that's the way everyone does things around here.

Keep up the great work.

Now, how about giving me a few reps. Big Grin LOL
