Proportioning valve again (new this time)

OK, I found another prop valve at Dallas Mustang and it said it was for 70-72 w power disc brake, It is identical to the one that came out of my car, but the instructions say to put rear master cylinder line into upper left input, but on my car it went right into the top. Being the whole top of the PV is for the front brakes, does it matter which line feeds the front brakes? I can blow air in to it and it comes out the top holes no matter which of the top 3 I blow in.

Their instructions may be based on the orientation of the valve. This is from my '71 shop manual, which indicates that yours was plumbed correctly:
