Preserving original dash pads
#1
Not my mustang, but the topic will help us all.

My '73 F-350 has a good condition dash pad in it, that has not cracked. As some may know, green interior parts are not reproduced for the 73-79 trucks.

I'm hesitant to clean it, for fear of drying it out more, and I've heard the armorall horror stories, so my question is, what to use to clean it, and should a "protectant" be used that will preserve it without causing it to crack?

I have used McGuire's Professional Vinyl and Rubber cleaner on a couple of different vehicles with no issues.

It is inexcusable for scientists to torture animals; let them make their experiments on journalists and politicians.

(I hope they haven't changed it now that they have a new parent company, it used to be the standard for a UV protectant)
