Power Window Not Working
#1
I just discovered that the passenger side front is not working from either the drivers or passenger side, and the passenger rear is not working from the drivers, but will go up but not down from the passenger rear control. I just installed anew door card on the drivers side, not sure if that's causing this. Any ideas?

Get your meter out and start checking the switches to see if they are working. If the switches are working in the drivers door then wiring probably issue. The relay on mine is located under the shock tower brace on the drives side under the hood. But if if works from one switch the relay is probably working.
The 73 switches are available pretty easy but 71 & 72 more difficult to find.
I need the two rear switch receptacles someone cut them off on a vert I bought so no switches in rear.

Thanks David. So if the switch on the passenger door is bad, would it also not work from the drivers door?

Not sure on that one. I would think it would be two different wires one from driver and one from pass. sw.. So one switch should not control the other.

I think I figured it out. A couple of wires pulled out of the back of the drivers door main switch. Not sure how I did that. Now to put them back into place. Another learning experience!

I had a similar issue with the master switch on the drivers' door. The master switch did not work on any window, but the three individual switch worked. It turned out to be a ground issue with the drivers' door. When I jumped the ground from the door frame to a part of the chassis (a metal part of the dashboard frame) the master switch worked.

I had the door off when I restored the car and when I reassembled the car and put the doors on. Apparently, the ground from the door is thru the door hinge and hinge bolts and when I installed the drivers' door the newly painted door and chassis prevented the door from making a good ground contact thru the hinge and bolts. I cleaned up the area beneath the hinge, bolts and bolt hole and the problem was fixed.

You may have the same ground issue with the passenger door since on the door switch and motor are affected.

Ah, success! Got the two errant wires back in the driver's door switch receptacle box and it all works again. It's a miracle. Haha. Wiring' s not my strong suit. Thanks for the info and encouragement.
