Potential automotive legislation
#1
This organization is working to protect automotive enthusiast's freedom to modify and race cars. It is worth reading and, in my opinion, joining the organization (at no cost). Chuck

It would near impossible for the powers that be to ban modifying cars and build race cars. Not just the enthusiasts that build them, but there's a whole industry that employs many hundred thousands of people which would mean mass unemployment basically overnight. Not a smart idea, but then again our moronic Green Party down here has said if they ever got in power (God help us if that many morons voted for them) they'd ban all mining, a great thing considering how much revenue mining produced in this country. I remember the head of Subaru saying in the early 90's that all dirty cars (pre 86 at the time) should be banned from the roads, needless to say what reception he got from that recommendation.
Anyway I hope it never comes down to this as it's a persons right to do what they want with their cars, not some boring as bat shit wowser that lives in their own little worlds. Not too much to worry about I think as the progressive lefts unrealistic world is starting to crumble anyway, so for now our rights are safe and our cars are too, but never ever underestimate those with agendas. I could not see this happening, especially in the US as it's more than just a hobby over there, but more like a movement.

We have seen some very naive, self-serving, and or, zealots do great damage to the people of many nations. All because they claim to know the "undeniable truth" while not acknowledging irrefutable facts. Using facts, logic, and reason to reach conclusions and decisions is a much better approach, in my opinion. Chuck

When have you ever known a politician to be capable of this? Common sense is not in the bio of most...
