Pics of race style paintjobs?
#1
I´ve always been a sucker for race paintjobs on classic cars, so.....
Does anyone have pics of 71-73 Mustangs finished in vintage NASCAR or Trans Am style paintjobs?
There are quite a few pre 71s to be found, but hardly any of the real Mustangs Wink.
I don´t mean funny cars, dragsters and such, but cars that look like old racers, something like the Terlingua Mustangs or the Parnelli Jones Fastbacks, or Petty´s blue #43 Mopars.....That kinda stuff.

I´ve always wanted to have a car done in such a finish but as I have a convertible it would not really work, unfortunately.

I found only these 3 pics, so share yours if you got some.

The black white and red one grabs me! That looks sharp, especially with the hideaway (or lack of) headlights!

Cool looking cars! They all have side mirrors...I didn't think that race cars had those.

My Mustangs:
71 M-code Mach 1, Medium Blue/White Sport, 4R70W, 3L50, Factory Ram Air.
72 Q-code Mach 1, Pewter/Black Sport, 4-spd, 3L25.
65 Convertible, Britney Blue/White/White, more modified than original.
05 Convertible, Legend Lime/Tan/Tan, future classic??

I love the IMSA "widebody" fenders and quarters on the red/black/white one at the top. How cool would that be on a regular street car? Big Grin
