Pedal Support Removal
#1
OK I am in the process of removing my pedal support from the car. I have the steering column out (PITA by the way). I pulled the gauge cluster to get to the top bolt. Have all other bolts out and the rod the master disconnected except the top two nuts on the firewall. the bottom nuts came off the studs no problem but it seems as if I am taking the studs completely out of the top two and not removing the nuts so I stopped as I do not want to cause issues during reassembly by removing the studs and not the nuts. Any advise is welcome here as I have to get this done and put back together before this weekend as I am supposed to be on a large mustang run in SW Wisconsin.

I don't see any issue if the nut or stud comes out. You have two that get you aligned and should be no problem to get the studs back in.

That is what I was hoping. Thank you David. I appreciate it. Will go back at it tonight after I hang some drywall for my in-laws.

Hanging drywall another of life's joys, lol. I put the 1/2" X 12' sheets in my work room by myself. Another reason I have neck and back issues. I got one of the drywall sheet lifters but due to me having the angles in the corners it did not work for doing the walls. So I screwed blocks to the studs and would pick up sheet and sit on the blocks then start running screws. Then you get the joy of all the sanding dust.
So now I have a slightly used drywall lifter I need to sell.

Ah yes. Not my favorite thing to do for sure. Luckily this is just some work in a small bathroom where the old shower surround was leaking behind it.

Well got everything out. Bearings welded to pedal support and everything back together. Just went for a test run. Everything works perfectly and the car shifts like a dream now. Thanks for all the help. Had no idea pulling pedal support was such a PITA.
