Parking Brake Clip
#1

Hi All, please forgive me if this sounds stupid...Is there anything else other than that keeper to secure the parking brake cable (BALL) onto the parking brake bracket? I think the shop manual shows something additional there, or is it just my imagination? And to you guys with a "PARK" light...Where exactly is that switch located for it?  My harness has the plug for it but I don't see the switch! Thanks!

Mine had a j-nut for a sheet metal screw slid over the channel for the cable. Keeps it from falling out during assembly before the rear axle was installed.

The switch is mounted at the top of the bracket, you'll see a couple screw holes up there.

The switch is on the parking brake pedal assembly up near top next to firewall. This pic shows in car. The little white block with green wire going to it.

Hemikiller, thanks for posting! 2A826 is what I was talking about. Is that just a regular J-nut or what? Is it available from the aftermarket or even an original? Anybody know about that? Thanks!

David, thanks for posting! I have the green wire by my parking brake but no switch anywhere there. What's up with that?

It's just a regular j-nut for a sheet metal screw. You probably have some lying around.
