octopuss selector seems to leak air
#1
Hi

Ive been fixing with the ventilation system. New vacuumhoses, checked that all the vacuum motors work, the vacuum canister works. So today I hooked Everything up and Im using hand pump to create vacuum, but no movement in any vacuum motors. If I connect the pump directly to a vacuum motor it will Close or open att vacuum. Can the selector/octopus be repaired ? is there a reproduction to buy or ? When blowing in air from disconnected hose I can hear that the selector is leaking.

After breaking it down it seems that there is a missing plastic cover.
Could it be possible to fabricate something that could work ?

Seems to be a common problem:

In addition to the company Chuck suggested you can try two of our site supporters, Don at OMS, or MotorCity Mustang.

There's also this company:

Watch on ebay too. I picked up the rubber part NOS a few years back.

That sounds good. Maybe by the time it fails again in another 30 or 40 years someone will be making a repop.Big Grin
