New Engine Update
#1
Some of you may remember last October my 351C 4V developed a
cracked block. Bought a freshly remanufactured long block from
Don of OMS. Went through the usual break-in process and are now
almost 5 months out. The engine is performing beautifully. There is
not a hint of oil leaking anywhere, the engine is perfectly dry.
Today I started from a stop light and when doing about 20 MPH in
1st I gave it a little gas. Did not stomp it, just a little extra pedal
push and smoked the tires. I was not expecting that this being my
first Mustang.

Thank You Don.

You've got a lot of patience...5 months!!! I am sure I have gone that long without sex, but certainly haven't gone that long without smoking the tires....

It sounds like you found the happy spot on the loud pedal. Be happy more often. Chuck

Was not looking at the tach but was probably about 3500 RPM.
Will need to take it to 4500 and try that againIdea

I will do a burn out video.
Did not want to get too aggressive with Don'e new engine.
Have heard stories about people buying a new car, running
the crap out of it, and wondering 5000 miles down the road
why the engine is burning and leaking oil.
When I start a thread about "The Burn Out", you guys will
have to follow suit.
