Hello 7173,
New to the site and working on my 1973 convertible.
I can find new door shells on all the major parts retailers.
What I haven't found is just the outer door skins, which are available 65-70.
Does anyone know where to find 71-73 outer door skins ??
Thank you

Have you considered buying the whole door shell. I think it would be cheaper and easier to get the whole shell vs the labor involved in patching your old doors.

Our cars usually rust along the bottom edge of the door where the inner and outer are hemmed together. Also if the drains get plugged the entire bottom of the door goes and that is a pain to repair. Search the Forum one of the members did some significant metal repair on doors last year and had some great info and pics.
I have not seen door skins for 71 73 but there might be some. Obviously they stamp them but only sell as assembly I believe.

Missing these as well, tho David is right, its mainly the lower part and there is almost no curve in it. Planning to let cut a rect of the entire length. an industrial sheet of 3x3 m cost like 50 bucks in 1mm thickness. To let it press cut, it cost me 5. The main work is first ensure you actually can weld it, and most work goes to the "lip". On my 71, the most front part is rusty and underneath. So chances are high I will need let fold another piece in u shape or find/cut a square tube that matches the rubber guide.
I saw last week a pair of doors that a member offered for sale, saw the new shells too, simply too pricy to get them here.
