Need a set of 73 Bumper brackets
#1
I was led to believe that anything mandated by federal regulations such as pollution control or 5mph bumpers had to be OEM available for X number of years. Does Ford still have the front bumper absorber brackets for my 73? And if not is anybody making them? I need a set.

Man that's great! You Rock Let me know what you want for them. As you probably saw in the picture mine are gone and the set that was on the car I'm building fell off when I unbolted the bumper. I need to connect all the dots first before I worry about the exterior parts. I also need the about 16" top rails from the shock towers to the radiator core suppport. Those were beyond repair as well. I figure I'll end up burning my welder up. But look forward to doing it! Smile

I have bumper brackets and clean top rails. I just picked up parts car #4 on Sunday. A rust free 73 coupe.

Are you familure with the top rails at the very front 16-18" piece that goes between the shock tower to the radiator support? I desperately need those to true up my front end before I can set my radiator support.
Tnfastbk and Hemikiller think they have the bumper bracket/absorbers I need. Man, I've always loved putting BIG models together. chili Let me know what you want for them.

I'm referring to the support piece that goes under this. Or are they not needed when replacing this part?

I'll see if I have an extra set. Pretty sure my last good set went home with Barry. Did pick up a Mach 1 that may have a set of useable ones.
