My vert turns 42 today.
#1
Exactly 42 years ago, on December 7th 1971, my car left the assembly line in Dearborn as a medium brown metallic convertible, almost fully loaded and with a white top and left for its home in Luxembourg a few days later.
She's come a long way since then.

Well happy birthday to the old girl!

She's in good hands Mike. Here's to another 42! Big Grin

Jeff T.

Low buck, touring style, '73 Convertible "rolling restoration", 351c, 2v heads with a shave and a haircut, Performer intake, Holley 650(ish), roller rockers, screw in studs, guideplates, stainless valves, Duraspark / Motorsports MSD, T-5 conversion. 1-1/8" front, 3/4" rear swaybars KYB shocks and some home brewed subframe connectors. Future plans; JGC steering box, Cobra brakes and... paint, interior, etc.

When I die I want to die like grandpa, peacefully in my sleep... not screaming, like his passenger.

Mike, our cars may have been on the line at the same time. My car's BOD is 12\9\1971.

Cool! They probably met in the parking lot prior to being shipped out. :-)

A shortened driveshaft for the new AOD but the shop is delaying it further. :-(

No, I guess she'd been spoiled rotten. During the last two weeks she got an AOD, lots of Lokar stuff to make it work, a new transmission crossmember, new brake pads, a Rocketman idiot light tach and a console clock sponsored by user Eddyw.
I guess that's more than enough. My wife complains I'm treating the car better than her. :-)

Happy Birthday to the old gal! Sadly, it looks like my 73 will be spending its birthday (next month) on jack stands.
