Missed it by that much!
#1
Found a 73 mach 1 on tacoma craigslist last night for $1500, needing restoration of course had very little rust and a super straight body. I made the drive very early this morning to be the first to see it. As my luck usually works I was second in line and the first guy bought itAtomicSadBanghead

H code, blue glow, blue mach 1 interior, folding seat, tilt wheel. This was well bought!!

%&+@#, to go see a car early and find that someone is already there "Bites"! Wouldn't be so bad if it was a pile of rust in the shape of a Mustang (Description credit goes to Eric-Mr 4X4). But for once actually had the appearance of a nice straight looking body. Even if a rust bucket, it's worth $1,500.00 just as a parts car.
Not rubbing it in, I'm just old enough to remember Maxwell Smart!

Did you leave your name with the seller, just in case???

I hate it when that happens...I'm still kicking myself over a 71 Torino GT I missed a couple months ago....it sold in less than 5 hours...

Yea, this BITES!! but there is nothing I could've done any different.
The buyer literally drove in 30 seconds before meUndecided
I spent a little time chatting with him and left him my number and the info for this siteBig Grin
The seller knew how bummed I was and i made it clear if for any reason the deal fell through to call me.
I thought this deal was one of those too-good-to-be-true episodes. but for $1,500 I could not go wrong even if it was a big ball of rust. When I went up and looked at the car and saw how good the condition of the body was I was really really really hoping the guy would not buy it. But alas he knew it was a super good deal as well. Oh well, sometimes you the kicker, sometimes you're the ball.

Sorry you missed out on that one. The body appears to be better shape than most start out with, I see a couple of thousand in parts alone.
