I need to touch up the black on the Magnums I have. Does anyone know the "correct" color to paint the recesses? I know what you smarties want to say, but black isn't always black. Especially in the automotive world.
With the originals I have, the black appears to be a flat black when cleaned and polished. But the center caps have the gloss looking black in the center.
Thanks for the help!

I use SEM "trim black". It has a smooth matte finish. Looks exactly right to me. Flat black makes the wheels look too dull, and glossy black just makes 'em look like crap and "repainted".

I had mine powder coated...they did like a 40% gloss on them...turned out great. Not too overdone.

I would probably try to replicate a natural finish. Eastwood has some good ones. I would be afraid to blast that surface to prep for fear of damaging the chrome - even though it is on the back side of the wheel. My second choice would be the same black used for the outside mentioned earlier in this thread.
