Magnaflow Exhaust
#1
Has anyone tried to use the Magnaflow exhaust kit on their 71-73 car? I'm looking at kit #15816 muffler and rear exhaust in 2.5" stainless and #16446 head pipes for a 351C -2V engine.
I have a '73 convertible and would like to use these because I like the stainless aspect of never rusting and the tubes are all mandrel bent so they don't choke the engine.

Thoughts? Anyone tried this?

I believe member Vertstang73 installed the 15816 kit for 67-70 on a 73 vert with no mods other than adapting the head pipe to the headers which you would probably have to do on any system. If you are not running headers then perhaps the 16446 head pipe is the way to go. I would try without it first and see how the other one fits.

Several years ago I purchased a 2.5 " Stainless Magnflow exhaust system w/x-pipe,(for my 65 2+2) delivered to my door for $348.
As the years go by prices climb, though last I heard Performance Peddler is still sellin these at a killer price. The best price isn't posted on their site. You can search the net for cupon codes, or I'd just call them and ask for the "Forum Price"

No, I do not work for any Performance shop, just passing a good deal along.

Thanks for the information, Tubo. I, too, am looking for a system for my '73 vert. Much appreciated!
