Mach 1 Grill Running lights

Geoff, the 1004 is a bulb Ford used in door mounted courtesy lamps. Had about 1/2 the candle power of the #94 but was a more common double contact bulb. Probably got used as a substitute since most people didn't want to stock a slow selling bulb that only saw use in certain 70-71 T-Birds and 71-72 Mustangs. All of the production installed bulbs I have replaced over the years in my early build (9/21/70) and late (7/28/71) have been GE made in USA!
Will probably PM some additional info on my "Rider" we were discussing in the halogen headlamp/relay post. Didn't want to do a total high jack of Goodnigh's thread!   whistling

Steve

No Officer...I really don't know how fast I was going, my speedometer stopped at 140!

I ordered the #94 bulbs from amazon. I also ordered the socket pigtail from Napa. I have no idea how long the sockets will take to come in, hopefully not too long. I will let yall know how it all works out once I get it all in.

Steve, thanks for your insight. Yeah, made in China was a good clue they would not be originals. As I'm switching to all LED/SMD bulbs, I'll not worry about getting any #94's, but I'm sure there are many who will welcome your confirmation of the correct number for this application.
I did a bit of searching on Amazon.ca and found the 1004 bulbs were cross referenced to several other numbers and LED's. VERY confusing!! I did not look at a cross reference to the 94's, so I wonder if the same numbers will come up for the 1004 and the 94. Hmm! I think I'll stick with dealing with Bill at Hi-Po Parts so I can be sure of what I'm buying. That's just my opinion.
Geoff.

Just wondering how the socket pigtails worked out.  I need the same.  Big Grin

Thanks!

I got them all working a while back. I got the bulbs from ebay and wired them into the side marker lamps.
