Look what I found to clean-up!!
#1
as I was cleaning out my shed, I found my "Space Saver" spare Tire from my 1977 Cougar XR7, it was never used. (my parents owned the car scince it was new)
it is the wrong size for the Mustang, its a H78-15
but once I clean it up, I think it will look great in the Trunk of the Mustang, I already have a New Yellow sticker for it.
I have the Original Spare for the Mustang, its a E70-14 Firestone wide ovals, that one I'm going to hide away.

I have a few of those space saver spares. Air it up if you've never seen one inflate. Kind of funny to watch. When you let the air out it goes back to the same shape.

I'd love to find one to put in my stang but the ones that Ive seen at the swap meets are crazy expensive.

Hello to All,

Has anyone ever thought to look at the late model spare tires? They will work because they have the same 5 x 4.5 inch bolt pattern. You can find 5 lug Ford spare tires with the 5 x 4.5” bolt pattern on many vehicles. Rangers, Explorers, Bronco II, Lincolns, Crown Victoria's and the 94+ Mustangs to name a few. Most of the spare tires you will find will be 15” in size.
Check out this website that list all manufactures cars with their wheel bolt pattern in mm and inches. I believe one can get a 1994 Mustang space saver for $150.00. It would not hurt to explore the possibility!

Don,
I think it was back in 93' I inflated this tire, and you are right it was cool whan it deflates.
I think I will show my son how it inflates and deflates, and also record it at the sametime to post.
