Little issue with the Mach 1
#11
Try cleaning out the air bleeds on the carb with carb cleaner and a small strand of wire. The bleeds are on the top of the carb near the bowl vent tubes. They are small brass inserts. Chuck

When mine sites for a while one of the floats gets stuck and too much fuel gets into the manifold. It runs like crap, I have to feather the throttle to keep it running and I can't drive it. If I try again a day later the float typically unsticks itself and it runs fine.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on near the carb. Even a cheap one will give you a baseline reading and let you know if there is a problem with fuel delivery.

What about Seafoam?  Anyone use this stuff to clear out your carb?  I am thinking about running some through to see what happens before I go tearing everything apart.

I've used it as a fuel stabilizer in all my small engine tools and generator for many years and it works well for that purpose. I would not be afraid to use it in the tank of a car. I use BG 44K as fuel system cleaner as well as cleaning carbon off the valves, piston tops, and combustion chambers, it works. You might try counting the turns on the A/F screws, remove them, put a couple of squirts of carb cleaner in the holes, and reinstall the screws at the number of turns you counted. It may help, can't hurt. Chuck
