Interesting link. So, in '71, according to the article, "the Mach 1 encased the 302ci V8 as standard." Does that mean that the '71 Mach 1 came with the 302 as the standard engine? And not the 351C? Just trying to confirm.

Correct. There are a few 1F05Fxxxxxx (1971 302 2-bbl Mach 1) cars listed in our our registry including Rocketfoot's Mach.

My 71 mach1 came with a 302 and c4 from factory too. I later swapped in the 351c.
