Just Checking In
#1
Hey Everyone -

Just wanted to check in and apologize for being gone. The last two weeks of the school year were crazy, and I had to just get away from everything for a few days. I'm now recharging my batteries and getting ready to head to Montana for some fishing and serious relaxing.

I decided to have the machine shop press the cam bearings in after I ruined two sets trying to get the #4 in. I may also have them build the bottom end (pistons, rods, crank, cam) while it's in there, and then do the rest myself. I just need to get back on the "get some work done every day" horse, and I'll have her back in the car in no time.

Anyway, that's what's up with me. If you don't hear from me for a little bit, it's because I'm working on relaxing. Smile

Sometimes you have to just step away, take a breath and re-group.

Sounds like a plan with your short block. I tried doing cam bearings once years ago and came to the same conclusion.

I had forgotten all about that, Don. I may have to take a rain check this year, but it's still something I'd love to do. It's been over 10 years since I've been down to the Keys - save some for me! Smile
