Is there anyone else...
#1
...who is dumb enough to have two project cars going at the same time?!? While I certainly didn't mean to do so, I somehow ended up with two projects going at the same time and, as Earl Smooter (Sweet Home Alabama) said, "You can't ride two horses with one ass, sugarbean."

Again, we hadn't planned on keeping the Firebird but we are and now I have to try to ensure we can get the Firebird done for Jake to start tooling around in when he turns 16 while not forsaking my Mustang.

So far we haven't done a thing to the Pontiac but I know the engine needs some work due to a low end knock and leaving my baby boy stranded on the side of the road is not something I'm willing to risk. His car will need that and some body work done in order to make it streetable though it will not yet get a full on restoration like the Mustang will. Working on his power plant and when we're waiting on parts or money we will be doing what we can with the body of the Mustang.

So, anyone else in the same boat as I am and, if so, how do you divide your time up?

Mac

Yeah Mac, I FEEL you!

I got the '73 Grandé going and the '73 Mach 1 going at the same time. With both being from the same "family", it gets confusing sometimesSmile.

Went through the same thing with my Chevelle. Was finishing it up but couldn't stand not to start on the Mach. Every time I went in the garage I didn't know which I was going to work on but the important thing was something got done on one of them.

In addition to my rolling resto (the mustang) I also have a Full Size Jeep Cherokee that I have been on a continuious modification path.

Here is a picture just after getting it painted and doing a Spring Over axle on the front and shackle flip on the back:

I have done some more to it since then. So far the build up includes:

82 Cherokee WT - Spring Over Axle (front)/Shackle Flip (rear) /cross over/high steer/agr steering box box/401 AMC from a 71 Jav/Edelbrock performer/holley Truck Avenger/HEI Ignition /BeCool Aluminum Raditor /727 torque flight with shift kit/np208 from a 81 wagoneer /d44 up front with Aussie locker/amc20 in the back with an ARB/4.56 gears/ BFG 35X12.5/Corbeau Moab Seats/RCI 6point Harness/Hella Aux lights/tuffy console/killer32 slider bars/alpine deck,amp,speakers(4) with Jenson sub powered by a kenwood

The front grill is from a 67 Gladiator pickup truck. It's a common swap on these rigs.

I do pretty much all the work myself except for body/paint/rebuild tranny's and setting gears.

I am having some custom bumpers made for it along with a roll bar and a rack for the top. Then I will install my Warn winch to the front and have some Alcan springs made for it.

It's a good trail/wheel'n rig. Not too big, not too tall.

Well I have my 86 buick regal which is kind of idle because I'm putting most of my extra cash towards the mustang. I fiddle with my daily driver, like I just put lexus fogs on it.
