Interior Quarter Panels

Hi All, what would be the best approach to staple this piece back onto the interior quarter panel? What kind of stapler/staples? Thanks!

A regular heavy duty staple gun will work, just use a hard backer then use pliers to flatten the back parts.

I didn't use a stapler. I marked the new part with the location of the holes and punched them through. IIRC, I used some staples from my staple gun and folded them over by hand.

I used contact cement. I did not use the had stuff went to upholstery shop got some white vinyl and some cord and wrapped in and used contact cement there also. 99.9% of the people do not know what should be there.

Not sure what they are called, maybe wind lace? I purchased 2 interior quarter panels from a 71 Cougar (Ash Trays on both sides). Removed the piece in the picture from one of the "Old" ones to install on the "New" one. I don't think they are being reproduced.

I've been thinking of how to make these and was hoping that you had a source for repros. At first glance you don't notice that they are missing, but my car looks a little naked without them
