Actually, Tom Laughlin passed away on Thursday, but it's just getting reported today. I remember seeing the Billy Jack movies at the Drive-In on Bragg Blvd in Fayetteville, NC back in the early 70's. They weren't very good, but back then, we didn't have the choices and all the internet reviews we do now. R.I.P.

Rusty, a 1973 Mach 1, needs a lot of work.
Billy, a 1976 Ford Bronco, also needs a lot of work.
El Guapo, a 1986 F150, frame-off Resto-Mod.
Bubba, my 1994 F150, daily driver
Formerly, a 1973 Ford Mustang Coupe - a work in progress, then a car-b-qued banana.

I remember that movie, living in Oklahoma at that time. Pretty radical even in light of 1971's Vietnam counterculture, but still relevant for a lot of us, as young as we were.

There was a scene in one of the Billy Jack movies where he used a cane to take down a guy who threw a punch... I was a young kid, and always wanted a hat like his Big Grin

Probably the best scene of the movie. The movie pops up every once in a while on one of the Dish Network channels.

If you think about it he was on the scene in 71 prior to the Green Latern later to be revealed as Mr. Lee debut in 72.... and his HAT was signature...after many azz whoop'ns I decided I need to learn this karate stuff they were talking about.
