The Washington Auto show in DC. Dr. Simeone brought down the Daytona Coupe from Philly and they got Pete Brock to come for the ceremony. I did not know about it until I showed up to the preview of the show last night. Huh

Tell me, how many railfans do we have here that can't quite get used to Shelby's "CSX..." chassis numbers? I always have to do a double-take.

Very nice.
Rex, you should have tried to swap Cobras at night.

Well - I could "borrow" #14 from my neighbor and swap them and maybe they would not notice. Car values are funny -the original beat up one is worth $6M and the recently built one with a Shelby VIN is worth on tenth of that but is by far the prettier car but w/o the all important racing history. Anyway, I am happy with my little black replica.

I cannot say it's better than any other year. I'm going down tomorrow to look around some more. Being in the display is cool and talking to people is the best part.
